Hush Hush Tribunal
According to Naharnet, the final report by the UN commission in charge of investigating the Hariri assassination, "will not point to any defendant, witness, or concerned individual related to the investigation from near or far." Not only that, some of the tribunal sessions will be "confidential".
Information disclosed that part of the silence is probably to remain even during the work of the tribunal, since available information points that some of the testifying witnesses will not have their identity exposed even after ending their testimony. Some of the court sessions will be confidential in testimonial content and the identity of those testifying.
I understand that justice is blind. But also mute?

Unless you want all the other suspects/key-witnesses to be 'suicided' like the ones in Syria, this is the only way to go.
No names until they're all shipped off to the tribunal, or else justice would have no one to try....

Fair point, Nadim. Even though part of me feels that, considering the whole trial will be so delayed and obstructed that Bashar (not that I am accusing him, God forbid!) will probably be old enough for alzheimer to be invoked in his defense, maybe having those illustrious suspects/key-witnesses commit suicide by shooting themselves repeatedly may not be such a bad thing after all.
As for Naharnet's report today - "Bellemare to break the silence soon" - frankly I think he's more likely to break wind and waft the smell towards reporters than do anything of the sort.

Lebanese newspapers are usually 5% true...The rest is full of speculation, lies and conspiracy theories!
AK, Bellemaire has to finish the investigations. He seems to be close to it. Once this phase is over, then comes the prosecution...then they'll announce the indictments. That's the way judicial process works in the west and we should not expect anything different here. We've waited three years we can wait another few months. As for the "ususal suspects" they seem to be committing suicide(Ghazi Kanaan and his brother), getting killed in traffic accidents, blown up by "salafists" in the middle of security zones (last month), killed infront of the mukhabarati headquarters (muggsy) or "snipered out" (Sleiman)...of course numerous others have disappeared...Like asaf Shawkat, bahjat suleiman and Jamaa jamaa...along with rustom ghazali...

--Bellemare and the UN are only good at breaking wind (see also Rwanda, Iran, Darfur, and now Congo).
--Au contraire, NOT naming names endangers more people, as Syria continues to have deniability, laughable as it is.
--A top Lebanese judge AND top candidate to be on the international tribunal, Ralph Riachi, resigned today. The Justice Minister says the resignation was over delayed nominations. Sure, and I am the Queen of England.
--If you valued your life and your family's, would you want to be on the tribunal?

So now there is a new "spy story". Inspired by the HA and at it's service (totally infiltrated) The LA shows a sudden "efficeny".
The statement by the LA said:"detainees have confessed to "collecting information about (political) party centers and monitoring the movements of the party leaders for the sake of the enemy." . What rubbish! as if anyone cares where the political leaders are! Unless it is the Sayyed- a known target for Israel, who avoids appearing in public, holed up in the Dahiya. Very very far from the Beka'a!
The Maktab Al Thani which could not decipher a single assassination in Lebanon- now unveils, I guess, imaginary "spies". Where is Imam Sadr they found out already?
The Hariri murder did they decipher already, the big heros?
How indicative that the information first appered in pro HA A Safir before the LA communique.

Sorry for the typing mistakes which had crept in. So, there are no more Syrian spies in Lebanon. No more Iranian agents. Why feed us with fairy tales?
Tell us about those who do the real damage!
