"Three of us spent the night in hospital for treatment after we were beaten" by protestors in Beirut's Christian neighborhood of Ashrafiyeh, said Sami Gemayel, son of former president and the supreme chief of the Christian party Kataeb, Amin Gemayel.
Gemayel told AFP that he suffered bruising to his back, and university students Gilbert Rizk and Bassam Samarani underwent surgery on their faces and noses.
"We were awaiting the army to stop the protestors from entering Ashrafiyeh, and we did not want them to enter Monot street," which is lined with restaurants and nightclubs, he said.
"Then, suddenly dozens of them attacked us. They beat us with their hands, iron bars and batons," said Gemayel.
I bet you Michel Aoun is looking at his "understanding" with Hizbullah with a lot of pride right now, although watch him blame Siniora for it. Hizbullah meanwhile thinks that the LBC programme was "part of a campaign aimed at liquidating the resistance," Hizbullah MP Ali Ammar, who participated in the "protests", was quoted as saying by AFP as he watched his people burn tires and block the airport runway. I confirm what Ali said. I personally have been coordinating with LBC and other Christian Zionist Satanic entities on a daily basis to eradicate the Hizbullah cancer. I am part of the conspiracy to liquidate the resistance. I am also un-Islamic, because I dare call Nasrallah names and accuse him of wanting to destroy the country and turn it fascist. Too bad Ammar and Nasrallah can't read English. They are really missing out.
Anyway, continuing with the story, the useless National Audiovisual Council convened in an emergency session today and condemned the broadcast because "broadcasting law forbids attacks on religious figures." That's right. We're still in Lebanon, not Iran. Now the council wants LBC to apologize. If they don't, there will be "disciplinary measures". The show's producer has already apologized, claiming he actually "admired" Nasrallah.
Well folks, as I have warned before, and at the risk of repeating myself, which I have been guilty of doing on this blog for a long time now, an organization like Hizbullah does not belong in Lebanon. The country is being forced to live by its draconian and oppressive rules. Oh just scroll down and read my previous posts...
